Still Seed Painting
Seed
painting has taken longer than expected. I spent every night last week
finishing up the first sun and this new sun. I pulled a lot of 3 a.m.
"seed nights." I was a walking zombie for the better part of the week.
However, this experience has been quite therapeutic. Smelling the aromas
of the different herbs, spices, and seeds puts me in a meditative state
as I place each seed on the wooden slate. The pepper made me sneeze.
The chili seeds made my lips tingle. The licorice reminded me of the
first place my husband and I called home. But the cinnamon was oh so
heavenly! One more to go....

Seed Painting
I have been asked to be in a gallery in San Francisco. I am creating 3 new pieces for the show. We had to put this week's "Love and Marriage" paintings to the side so I could meet my deadline. Here is a sneak peak into what I am working on. This is one of the pieces and it's painted with seeds. Popcorn, fenugreek, achiote, flax, ground and crushed red pepper, cinnamon, peppermint, ground pepper, sesame, licorice.
Does anyone have any good ideas for colorful seeds?

Acrylic and Caran d'Ache
Another collaboration with Roberto Romo. If you have to coordinate your Halloween costume with your partner, might as well make it shocking ;)
